The Procurement & Inventory Manager at LiuGong North America will lead and mentor a small team to deliver key performance indicators and provide process improvements. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Parts Team to work within a cross-functional environment to develop, execute and maintain parts solutions (tactical & strategic) in alignment with evolving customer and market needs.
  • Work with all teams to drive inter- and intra- departmental efficiencies, optimize processes and prioritize system enhancements.
  • Build dashboards, internal / external reports and present key datasets to enable all team members to efficiently and effectively monitor performance and prioritize their efforts.
  • Act as key point of contact for North American Parts to provide accurate and up to date information to management as well as internal and external customers as required.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet established customer on time delivery and service levels.
  • Manager the team for daily orders and shipments; Maintaining an accurate inventory database that includes detailed information on available stock.
  • Sourcing suppliers and fostering good relationships with them.
  • Purchasing new stock and negotiating favorable contracts with suppliers.
  • Working closely with sales, purchasing and other relevant departments to organize the efficient flow of inventory.
  • Leverage metrics and other tools to drive departmental performance.
  • Perform monthly assessments of historical inventory levels by SKU and adjust stocking strategies accordingly in order to maintain or improve service levels.
  • Drive local sourcing initiatives with purchasing and suppliers as well as provide parts training to the dealer network.
  • Complete cross training of the LiuGong products and assist in the development of new software to support all products.
  • Assist with parts technical support as well as superior follow-up and communications for dealers and internal service personnel.
  • Develop pricing plans, stocking incentives and other initiatives to grow the parts business and provide superior After Sales support.
  • Research and recommend the proper parts, solve parts technical issues and work with staff in overseas offices.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years Heavy Machinery industry experience
  • Leadership experience of 5-10 years
  • MUST HAVE ADVANCED LEVEL EXCEL SKILLS
  • Thoroughly skilled on MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook), including ability to create and manage spreadsheets in an efficient manner.
  • Good mechanical aptitude (auto and/or heavy machinery)
  • Parts technical knowledge
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

  • Microsoft Office; Heavy Microsoft Excel SAP

JOB SUMMARY


The Procurement & Inventory Manager will lead and mentor a small team to deliver KPIs and provide process improvements as needed. As a leader, you will create and monitor reports such as back order, fill ratio, inventory orders, etc in EXCEL. For success in this position, the candidate selected MUST POSSESS ADVANCE LEVEL EXCEL SKILLS, as well as advance level SAP skills. We also seek Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills. This position is located in Katy, Texas and is NOT REMOTE or FLEX.

The position requires a blend of "hands on in the business’ and manager level ‘with the team’ work. To succeed you will enjoy rolling up your sleeves, leading a team and contributing to our strategy. Candidate selected will oversee the parts team, and liaisons with warehouse personnel, facilitating parts ordering, replenishment, and fulfillment performance.


Katy office hours are M-F 8am – 5pm.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting, Analysis, Scorecard, and Communication


MUST HAVE ADVANCED LEVEL EXCEL SKILLS


Partner with leadership team to prepare various reports, analysis, presentations, and scorecards.

Produce routine reporting packages for management.


Develop reporting metrics and drivers to understand inventory results like inventory variance and cost root cause analysis supporting decision-making and budget goals.


Effectively communicate clear, concise, accurate information that caters to the levels of detail needed by recipients to translate inventory performance results into business insights and actions.

Oversee sales and service departments parts requests.


Build systems and processes for inventory control and parts management best practices.

Some light travel domestically will be required on occasion as well as travel to Mexico.


Skills/Qualifications
