\n
\nClinical, Part-time responsibilities include the supervision and evaluation of clinical lab and/or patient care experiences as assigned by Program Director.
\n
\nCharacteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:
\n
\n- Collaborate with FT and PT faculty members to implement desired clinical instruction.
\n
\n- Demonstrate required psychomotor skills for students.
\n
\n- Prepare and post patient care assignments.
\n
\n- Supervise students' skill practice and clinical patient care.
\n
\n- Communicate with personnel on clinical units, including pre- and post-care conferences.
\n
\n- Correct inaccurate or unsafe skill performance by students.
\n
\n- Evaluate critical skill performance.
\n
\n- Maintain a safe practice environment.
\n
\n- Report on student performance to full-time and Part-time faculty members or coordinator.
\n
\n- Demonstrate professional accountability by being punctual for class and obtaining coverage if necessary for absences.
\n
\n- Utilize principles of current nursing practice for clinical experiences.
\n
\n- Adhere to professional standards and legal guidelines of practice.
\n
\n- Attend scheduled departmental staff meetings.
\n
\nEducation Requirements:
\n
\n- Master's degree in nursing and current N.J. RN nursing license.
\n
\nExperience:
\n
\n- Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience required.
\n
\n- Teaching experience is preferred.
\n
\nCompetencies and Skills Required:
\n
\n- Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience required.
\n
\n- Teaching experience is preferred.
\n
\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
\n
\n- This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
\n
\n- Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
\n
\n- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
\n
\n- Some travel required.
\n
\n- Ability to stand and walk for extended period of time in clinical patient care setting.
\n
