Let’s work together.Job SummaryThe Standard is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer IV to provide technical thought leadership in the design, implementation, and architecture of the ML Ops & AI Ops platforms.As part of the Applied AI team, you will lead initiatives to deliver enterprise AI systems at scale. Your role will involve optimizing the ML/AI Ops platform and deployment patterns to ensure scalability, security, and robustness. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Software Engineers to understand their needs and develop generalized solutions that reduce redundancy and enhance efficiency.In this highly visible role, you will stay current with the evolving AI landscape and leverage the latest technologies to support our model lifecycle management needs. You will apply your creativity to enhance our architectures and ensure best practices are followed to improve our ML Ops platform. Your ability to coach and lead team members through AI/MLOps platform component delivery will be highly valued.The Machine Learning Engineer IV will possess a creative and inquisitive mind. This role is critical to the evangelization of AI at The Standard and requires well-refined technical skills that bridge software engineering and data science, a passion for growth and learning, a strong sense of independent accountability, and an innate ability to work with a diverse, multi-functional team.Skills and Background You’ll NeedEducation: A High School diploma or GED is required. A Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields is preferred.Experience: A minimum of 8-9 years’ experience in the data analytics industry. 6+ years of experience in a Data Science (or similar) position.Strong technical command of the tools and languages used to build the AI/ML Ops Platform (Python, Azure, ADO Pipelines, PowerShell, Terraform, Kubernetes, Databricks jobs, MLFlow). Successfully led the delivery of multiple stable releases in ML and AI domain.Deep knowledge of the end-to-end development cycle for ML and AI products, from data engineering and ELT/ETL, to model training and testing, to production deployment and management. Experience ideating and driving enhancements that simplify, modernize, and standardize the deployments.Experience developing and nurturing package/dependency management (i.e. Poetry) and testing frameworks (i.e. Pytest, PyLint)Knowledge of relational database management systems (Azure SQL, Databricks). Unstructured data storage (text and images) knowledge is preferred but not required.Experience guiding, coaching, mentoring technical peers. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan.
