Responsibilities

  • Lead the Regional Account for a major Detroit based OEM for the Connection Systems Product Lines.
  • Support existing business and develop and execute a strategy to capture future global business potential in North America.
  • High level interface with the Product Line Management organization.
  • Senior-level customer interface.
  • Lead a team of Account Managers and Application Engineers to drive sales growth.
  • Support the GAD in getting data about NA market and developing a strong regional customer intimacy.
  • Establish proactive communication and relationship promoting confidence and trust.
  • Create and maintain customer response mechanisms for issues arising.
  • Ensure APTIV maximizes its content per vehicle by supporting robust multi-product battle plans.
  • Enable portfolio decision making across Connection Systems portfolio.
  • Ensure customer demands are managed through appropriate internal processes.
  • Drive deployment of strategic plan for customer through operation of customer team.
  • Regularly report on progress to strategic goals and act to correct deviation/shortfall.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Accountable for customer profitability and revenue growth in the product line.

Qualifications

Required

  • Relevant University Degree
  • Proven specific customer expertise & product expertise
  • Experience in leading a sales team in manufacturing or technology industry
  • Track record in managing complex commercial discussions
  • Track record in establishing customer strategies and increasing revenue/growth
  • Strong managerial skills, drive, and willingness to roll up their sleeves
  • Strong motivation, sense of urgency, high-level of energy and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging targets
  • Vision and strong communications skills
  • Ability to earn trust from subordinates, peers and superiors
  • Ability to build a high performing team accountable for results
