  • Be ready to tackle additional tasks and duties as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant setting, with a minimum of 1 year.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with hospitality software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Alcohol Serving permit through the State of Indiana.

Hard Truth Distilling Co. stands as Indiana's premier craft distillery destination. Nestled on a sprawling 325-acre wooded campus, our facilities boast the renowned Hard Truth distillery and rackhouse, an expansive restaurant, a state-of-the-art tours and tastings center, and a sprawling terraced outdoor recreational area.

The Restaurant at Hard Truth is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team. This pivotal role comes with a range of responsibilities and offers an attractive benefits package.

AGM Responsibilities:

  • Front-of-House Leadership: Efficiently assist in managing and leading the front-of-house, and provide support in addressing kitchen requirements. Supervise, train, and foster the growth of team members. Lead each shift by assigning tasks and responsibilities, and maintain open communication with the team.

  • Service Flow Optimization: Establish weekly schedules and training plans to ensure seamless service operations at all stations. Contribute to the training and development of Big Woods employees.

  • Inventory Management: Contribute to inventory control by overseeing ordering, rotation, monitoring, and verifying product deliveries to minimize wastage.

  • Hygiene and Organization: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant. Ensure the bar, floors, tables, and the entire front-of-house are consistently cleaned and sanitized.

  • Financial Oversight: Take charge of cash handling and oversee other receipts.

  • Front-of-House Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of front-of-house operations, ensuring that guests receive a warm welcome and prompt, accurate service. Provide assistance in addressing customer service needs.

  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Be ready to tackle additional tasks and duties as required.
