  • Computing basic arithmetic and reading and comprehending P&L's.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Business Management or Hospitality preferred.
  • Certification in liquor, wine, and food service.
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program.
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Manager level Food handling certificate.
  • Management experience in a luxury hotel/hospitality environment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as Banquet Manager in a hotel.
  • Knowledge of specific meeting room set-up styles.
  • Knowledge of staffing guidelines for various sized events.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to read and comprehend P&L's.

Preferred

  • Ability to input and access information in computers/point of sales system.
  • Previous guest relations training.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

The LAZ Hospitality Services silo is a unique team within LAZ Parking dedicated to growth through operational and financial excellence. The Hospitality team specializes in Hotel Partnerships across the country and excels at developing relationships through training, human connection, and career development for our employees and partners.


The Spirit of the Position:


The Banquet Manager supports overseeing the financial, operational, safety and service-related success at the hotel (West Hollywood, CA). The Banquet Manager will report to the Director of Operations and manage Captains, Servers, Bartenders, Housemen, and Porters.


The key relationships the Banquet Manager will be responsible for maintaining are:

  • F&B Staff, Kitchen Staff, Catering, Sales, Storeroom, Managers, Front Desk, Accounting, Housekeeping, Executive Offices, Engineering, Valet Staff
  • Hotel Guests, Hotel Event Clientele


Principal Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the financial, operational, safety and service-related success at the hotel.
