Chewy is seeking a Manager, Merchandising Operations III to lead the product detail page Content Team, focusing on product imagery, copy, and enhanced content. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3-6 responsible for the creation and application of content driving Chewy's product detail pages and overall customer experience.
  • Assess existing process flows and lead simplification efforts using automation and process re-engineering.
  • Partner directly with Merchandising, Business Intelligence, Product Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance teams to evaluate new processes and integrate new tools and technology
  • Provide thoughtful business insights through deep data analysis on process outputs.
  • Proactively assess the data needs of merchandising and related functions and partner with data engineering teams to prioritize and QA development of new data tables, metrics, and products
  • Own continuous improvement goals on key vendor facing processes

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics or a related degree with analytics and quantitative and technical emphasis; MBA or Masters in Analytics preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with minimum of 2 years as a people manager
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process management, site merchandising, content management, or a related field preferably in an ecommerce or retail setting
  • Proven experience leading operational excellence through data driven lean process improvements
  • Demonstrable experience in building data visualizations and translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent stakeholder management and prioritization skills using systems, processes, and scalable frameworks
  • Strong SQL toolkit with practical experience
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills using data to recommend and drive actions
  • Thorough understanding of Financial KPIs and P&L statements
  • Proven experience leading teams and delivering results in ambiguous and resource constrained environments
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred

  • MBA, Masters in Analytics, or equivalent advanced academic degree
  • Project Management Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma tool set
  • Advanced Tableau skills
  • Advanced technical skills using Python or Knime

**Our Opportunity:**

Chewy is looking for a **Manager, Merchandising and Content Operations III** to join our Retail Operations-Catalog Team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our product detail page Content Team informing the direction of Chewy's item imagery, copy, and enhanced content while ensuring quality and accuracy across the assortment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing lean process improvement cases and will also partner directly with analysts, business cross functional managers, product owners, and data engineers to anticipate data infrastructure needs and proactively build solutions fueled by data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader coupled with a strong business acumen, proven experience in operational excellence, and exemplary data analysis & visualization skills. They excel at developing and delivering product roadmaps with proven experience exceeding customer expectations. This individual is highly proficient in cross-functional program management and has proven experience delivering high quality results in an ambiguous environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will interface directly with cross-functional teams to gain buy in and deploy new process mechanisms.

**What You'll Do:**
