The Senior Contracts Engineer/Contracts & Procurement Lead at a Major Offshore Windfarm Developer in the Northeast is responsible for managing Requests for Information (RFIs), preparing tender package materials, supplier qualification, and commercial clarification and negotiations.   • Support leaders with risk mitigating alternative planning.
  • Design and implement an effective and impactful post-award contract management plan and support the package manager in delivering contract outcomes in line with HSE, quality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Lead all commercial and contractual correspondences and manage associated variation and claims.
  • Work on cost estimation and Change Management reviews.
  • Set-up and manage an effective project contract calendar with associated performance and progress meetings and reporting cycles.
  • Interface with Project Services teams to ensure alignment between Contractors schedules and interface responsibilities.
  • Participate in project meetings from the different disciplines and generate status reports and briefings for all levels of management as required.
  • Support with reporting to JV Shareholders including milestone reviews.

Qualifications

Required

  • BA or BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in project contracting, preferably in an offshore project environment.
  • Familiarity with industry common offshore installation and charter contracts, e.g. LOGIC, BIMCO, FIDIC is preferred.
  • Externally accredited chartership, e.g. ISM, CIPS, RICS is a plus.
  • Safety oriented.
  • Commercial acumen (e.g. contract management, performance management, negotiations).
  • Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication, presentation skills required.
  • High energy, self-motivated, client focused individual.
  • Ability to work well with people from all types of fields of expertise and be a good team player.
  • Thrive in a multi-cultural fast-paced JV environment.
  • Ability to influence without authority and manage multiple relationships simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to perform with minimum guidance.
