Q-mation, an AVEVA Select software distributor, is seeking a MES Engineer for their Indianapolis office. Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales engineering assistance for AVEVA software products and projects
  • Collaborate directly with manufacturing customers to understand their objectives and requirements
  • Design, develop, test, and deliver robust Automation, HMI/SCADA, and MES solutions
  • Integrate solutions with external systems (PLCs, CMMS, LIMS, ERP, etc.)
  • Provide onsite and remote installation, training, and commissioning support for delivered solutions
  • Provide consulting, troubleshooting, and support for existing production software solutions
  • Upgrade existing production software applications, with or without modifications
  • Contribute to consulting operations activities such as recruiting, new product research, etc.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software development best practices
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft and other 3rd party software such as: VMWare, MS Windows, MS SQL Server, MS RDS, etc.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot AVEVA software such as InTouch, System Platform, MES, Work Tasks, etc.

Qualifications

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university is required (engineering or computing preferred)
  • Proficiency with software installation, configuration and upgrades is required
  • Proficiency in basic software programming is required (SQL is a plus)
  • Must have unrestricted right to work in the US / Sponsorship not available
  • Travel up to 20%

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Windows, VMWare, Terminal Services is a plus
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and process control systems/automation is a plus
  • Familiarity with server & network administration is a plus
