The Product Manager at LifeMade Products LLC is responsible for the product vision and roadmap for assigned market segments, including leading the vision of the Cutlery and Straws product line. Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a product roadmap for the Cutlery and Straws product line.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer and business value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide the product development process.
  • Work with Finance, Operations, and Sales on costing and pricing of products.
  • Understand manufacturing process, plant capacity, and capital requirements.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and marketing teams to define product design/requirements.
  • Collect and incorporate customer feedback to iterate on the product.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Be an expert in the company, products, customers, sales channels, and competition.
  • Understand customer feedback, evaluate market trends, and conduct a competitor analysis.
  • Provide and specify product requirements to product design resources.
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Plan, develop, and manage the day-to-day execution of projects within the product pipeline.
  • Manage product development process including project management and product approval.
  • Drive collaboration to develop and implement a product launch plan.
  • Monitor project status and provide regular communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science, or MBA.
  • 2+ years of experience in product marketing, category management, new product development, product engineering, or project management.
  • Experience with sustainable materials.

Company Overview: LifeMade is a leading provider of U.S.-made single-use cutlery and convenience products. We offer a diverse range of products under both private brands and our own LifeMade™ brand, focusing on innovation, quality, performance, and sustainability.

Position Summary: The Product Manager will oversee the vision and strategy for our Singe-Use (or Disposable) Tabletop product line, managing the entire product lifecycle from conception through launch. This role involves collaboration with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to drive product growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy (25%):
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer and business value.
  • Analyze consumer insights, market trends, voice of customer feedback, and competitor activity to refine product strategy. Translate those insights into actionable strategies that drive business growth.
  • Work with sales to identify new business opportunities and complete market segment analyses to understand the size of the opportunity in both the Retail and Foodservice spaces.
  • Define product requirements and core positioning in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Recommend pricing strategies to support sales and profitability goals.
  • Provide product information and training to sales teams and key accounts.

Product Execution (75%):
  • Oversee product set-up and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Develop business cases with cost targets and profitability expectations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and address any issues or updates.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Understand manufacturing processes, plant capacity, and capital requirements.
  • Gather and incorporate consumer and customer feedback for continuous product improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in product management in FMCG's or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in the Mass, Club, Grocery, Drug, Dollar and/or Foodservice channels.
  • Understanding and experience with the P&L.
  • Familiarity working with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen of Circana.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science, MBA a plus.
  • 3rd party professional certification for Product Management.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product marketing, category management, new product development, product engineering, or project management.
  • Experience with Sustainable materials.
