Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's financial reporting and ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive financial controls and systems.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and internal and external reports align with US GAAP.
  • Manage critical aspects of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, cost accounting, and general ledger accounting.
  • Implement, document and ensure adherence to internal financial and accounting controls and procedures.
  • Review, develop and recommend changes to the company's financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and empowerment.
  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, product costing, etc.
  • Coordinate activities of external auditors.
  • Proficient in using Sage Intacct, our preferred accounting software, to assist with overall financial management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience with Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Familiarity with Auditing and Budget Processes
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and Financial Reporting
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Private Equity
  • Experience in managing finance within a company
  • Ability to collaborate with different departments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and high volume environment
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

We are in search of a Controller to join our Client's team in Dallas, Texas. This role involves overseeing the financial and accounting operations of the company in compliance with US GAAP regulations. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive financial controls and systems, managing critical accounting functions, and providing leadership to the team.
