Responsibilities

  • Actively maintain budgets for all areas of restaurant.
  • Plan budgets for next fiscal year based on data & analytics.
  • Hit or exceed sales, revenue, and margins while proactively managing associated costs.
  • Cultivate guest relations through regular table visits.
  • Generate and execute unique marketing strategies to drive business.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Department for Retail displays and new product marketing.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop qualified hourly employees and managers.
  • Identify, address, and document individual employee performance.
  • Discipline and/or terminate as necessary.
  • Administer regular performance reviews with all FOH staff.
  • Work with opening Chef/Kitchen Manager to properly prepare the restaurant for service.
  • Perform a shift “walk through” to assess staffing, maintenance, cleanliness, zoning, and any special needs.
  • Become proficient in all job functions of both front and back of house employees.
  • Maintain premises and equipment related to the operation of the restaurant.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed meticulously.
  • Provide staff regular work safety training.
  • Complete opening sanitation checklist and assign sanitation projects to hourly staff.
  • Interact with, direct, and supervise employees on a daily basis in a fair and dignified manner.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
  • Good organizational skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use logical or rational thinking to solve problems.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds of food trays carrying over their head constantly.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


HAPPY PEOPLE

  • Implement strategic plans to achieve objectives in alignment with broader organizational strategies
  • Ensure positive relationships with tenants, guests, and other stakeholders
  • Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Execute menus according to established standards
  • Conduct the Journeyman Employee Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report
  • Manage the resourcing of roles within the department with a focus on cultural fit
  • Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders, and grow their skills

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in restaurant management, preferably in full-service establishments.
  • Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience managing the P&L of a business or businesses.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and alcohol-service regulations.
  • Familiarity with an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
