Qualifications

Required

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related industry experience.
  • PE license required, NY or NJ preferred.
  • Design experience in lighting design, energy code compliance, lighting/power circuiting design, renewable energy, emergency power systems, communications systems, fire alarm systems, intelligent transportation system, construction cost estimating and specification writing.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry.
  • Thorough knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • In depth knowledge of general transportation, buildings, community development or power construction.
  • Previous experience working with various transportation authorities such as NJTA, NJDOT, NYCDOT, NYSDOT or the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, AGI32, Visual Lighting Software. LC is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
