Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Trumbull, Connecticut, United States. This role is integral to our finance department, focusing on the management of general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, tax preparation, audit support, and software utilization. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities: - Efficiently process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports - Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies - Monitor and record business expenses and assist with budget preparation - Assist with the preparation of tax filings and documentation for compliance - Provide support during internal and external audits, including gathering necessary documentation and information - Effectively utilize accounting software and tools, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP - Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support the finance department Requirements - Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations

- Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

- Experience with Month End Close procedures

- Proficiency in using accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP

- Experience in managing Expense Account and Expense Reporting

- Proficiency in Tax Preparation

- Familiarity with online accounting platforms like Quickbooks Online

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- detail oriented certification such as CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
