Pay Range: $16.18-$17.86 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)Full Time Day/Evening 40 hours - includes every other weekend.

GENERAL SCOPE: Prepares food for all residents of the Jewish Home. Some outside catering is done

with prior planning. Food is Kosher and three (3) meals or approximately 1,250 residents are served daily.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read and follow recipe cards, write, add, subtract, communicate in English and follow directions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

+ Prepare meals for residents, cafeteria, day care and/or catering functions.

+ Check production sheets and make sure they match menu and or catering.

+ Check cleaning assignments.

+ Label, date, and cover all leftovers. Note the amount of leftovers on the production sheets, do not store leftovers in a pan or pot that is more than 4 inches high.

+ Prepare food in accordance with Federal, State and local standards.

+ Understands cooking basics and diets using kosher food.

+ Clean work area, clean and reassemble puree machine.

+ Complete prep for next day.

+ Serve hot station on tray line and clean area.

+ All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Must possess knowledge of sanitation, recipes and teamwork. Must possess good organizational skills.
