Construction Laborer (Miller Steam Plant)

Founded in 1960, Trans Ash is a rapidly growing civil land construction & environmental company. This full-time laborer position is located at the Miller Steam Plant in Quinton, Alabama.

Job Summary:

General Construction Site Labor Activities.

Essential Functions:

+ Cleaning and preparing construction sites.

+ Loading and unloading materials and equipment.

+ Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes.

+ Operating and tending machinery misc. heavy equipment.

+ Following instructions from supervisors.

+ Assisting tradespeople in their duties.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

+ Previous construction industry experience.

Training Requirements:

+ Trans Ash will provide necessary safety training for the job.

Experience:

+ Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry is preferred.

Other Information:

+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

+ Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, climb, and operate vehicles and small equipment.

+ Must be able to work in a construction environment including possible inclement weather.

+ Must have a valid driver's license.

+ Be at least 18 years of age.

+ Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
