The Equipment Service Technician at Virtua Health is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and delivering patient care equipment to support safe and efficient patient care. Responsibilities
- Collects soiled equipment and specialty carts throughout the facility and returns the equipment to designated area for cleaning.
- Terminally cleans equipment according to manufacturer's recommendation and inspects equipment to assure patient safety. Returns equipment to proper storage locations.
- Performs physical inventory, requisitions and replenishes items to support equipment and specialty carts. Requisitions supply items utilizing Materials Management Information System.
- Locates equipment utilizing equipment tracking system.
- Documents and requisitions equipment rentals as needed.
- Documents equipment issues, repairs and location throughout the facility.
- Delivers specialty carts (i.e., code cart, isolation cart, urology cart), patient care equipment and equipment accessories within established priority guidelines.
- Assembles bedside patient traction upon request.
- Perinatal - Handles and transports specimens according to policies and procedures, assists with transporting and transferring of patients while using correct body mechanics.
Qualifications
Required
- Health Care experience with knowledge of patient care equipment.
- HS Diploma or GED.
