Construction Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction management and possess a strong understanding of various construction processes and techniques. The candidate must be qualified to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. Supervisor will work as liaison between workers, foremen and other supervisors. This position is a key person in the role of supervising production throughout the duration of the project.

The Construction Supervisor will have a solid background in the field with trade skills in carpentry, metal building erection, layout plan components along with leadership skills. Extensive experience, the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions is essential.

This position requires one to be well-organized and be able to drive the job to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage and supervise construction projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans.
• Producing schedules and monitoring attendance of crew.
• Allocating general and daily responsibilities
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Supervise and train workers.
• Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure they are met.
• Monitor and maintain safety standards on-site.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
• Resolve problems when they arise.
• Report on progress for managers, engineers etc.
• Supervise foremen (2-4).

Requirements and Skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a requirement.
• High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.)
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Proven experience as construction foreman or supervisor.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively.
• Familiarity with quality control process in construction.
• Aptitude in math.
• Problem-solving abilities.
