The Director of Operations Program Management at Archipelago Companies will play a crucial role in achieving the objectives of the Archipelago Operations shared services group and the portfolio companies supported. Responsibilities

  • Develop appropriate team structure, standard operating procedures, and training protocols to drive operational excellence.
  • Manage team members tasked with portfolio Sales Operations, Digital Workflow (Ecommerce), non-revenue asset sourcing support, and the internal project management function.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire teammates assigned as direct reports.
  • Set goals, perform mid-year and annual reviews, and manage performance of direct reports.
  • Identify opportunities for team development, create improvement plans as required, and assist with the onboarding of new resources across the portfolio.
  • Own the operational elements of the order to cash process, collaborating closely with portfolio leadership, sales teams, and distribution partners.
  • Streamline and standardize reporting, develop key performance indicators and business dashboards.
  • Standardize core processes across the portfolio.
  • Own and elevate End of Month Landing procedures to ensure alignment across stakeholders for monthly shipping plans and goal attainment.
  • Act as a cross-functional lead for geographic growth and capability expansion projects.
  • Identify opportunities for systems enhancement and partner with appropriate internal stakeholders to achieve.
  • Lead change initiatives and participate as a key member of the Technology Steering Committee.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree required or Master's degree in a business or engineering discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated career progression and leadership operation roles for the last 10-14 years.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Experience with major systems deployments and related technology projects (e.g. ERP, MRP, etc.), preferably in a direct project management capacity.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Order to Cash.
  • Strong systems aptitude, including ERP, WMS, PLM/PIM, etc.

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of monthly revenue plans, managing cross-functional projects to drive efficiencies and growth, and standardizing processes and reporting to support sustainable and robust operations across the Archipelago portfolio.Collaborating closely with each brand and other shared service functional leaders, this is a leadership role requiring the ability to translate strategy into business results.In summary, the Director of Operations Program Management is tasked with optimizing operational execution: meeting business goals with transparency, delivering on customer commitments on time and in full, minimizing costs and risks where appropriate, and striving for continual improvement.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Team Leadership and Performance Management: Departmental Leadership: In partnership with the VP of Operations, develop appropriate team structure, standard operating procedures and training protocols to drive operational excellence. Team Management: Develop and manage team members tasked with portfolio Sales Operations, Digital Workflow (Ecommerce), non-revenue asset sourcing support (POP/Displays/Etc.), and the internal project management function. Lead, develop and inspire teammates assigned as direct reports. Performance Management: Set goals, perform mid-year and annual reviews, and manage performance of direct reports. Identify opportunities for team development, create improvement plans as required, and assist with the onboarding of new resources across the portfolio.Revenue Execution: Order Book Management: Own the operational elements of the order to cash process, collaborating closely with portfolio leadership, sales teams, and distribution partners. Proactively identify risks and opportunities. Help ensure a consistent workflow is released to DCs to ensure labor optimization. Distribution Forecasting: Collaborate with Finance and Sales team partners to translate revenue forecasts to distribution activity forecasts (units / orders). Customer Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding of new customers and ensure alignment across Sales, EDI, Distribution and Accounting to meet customer expectations. Reporting Standardization: Streamline and standardize reporting. Develop key performance indicators and business dashboards leveraging available BI tools, collaborating closely with technical leads to achieve lasting solutions. Socialize information with key stakeholders and Operations team. Process Standardization: Standardize core processes across the portfolio. Identify misalignments and correct to ensure consistency in execution across the portfolio. End of Month Alignment: Own and elevate End of Month Landing procedures, to ensure alignment across stakeholders for monthly shipping plans and goal attainment during the last 10 days of each month. Identify risks, challenges, and opportunities that exist due to product availability, DC capacity and other factors, and develop communication and actions plans to align and optimize efforts.Project Management and Growth Support: Act as a cross functional lead as appropriate for geographic growth and capability expansion projects. Develop support plans for new market launches including ongoing operational support. Partner with key functions (Accounting, Finance, Distribution, Technology) to assist with business-critical efforts: MBOs, audit support, process improvement initiatives, etc.Technology Support: Identify opportunities for systems enhancement and partner with appropriate internal stakeholders to achieve. Act as a technology first-responder to help identify, isolate, and resolve systems issues to minimize impact to business operations. This includes working with and managing outsourced resources/consultants to drive results and issue resolutions.
