As a Travel Manager at RTA US, you will be responsible for developing and managing a best-in-class travel program for health care professional (HCP) consultants and customers. Responsibilities

  • Develop a best-in-class travel program for HCP consultants and customers.
  • Assess current travel program and implement changes that align with Global Medical and Clinical Affairs strategic goals and priorities.
  • Participate in the development and drafting of HCP travel rules in collaboration with various departments.
  • Identify and apply global practices, with the ability to customize for specific geographical considerations.
  • Support management of third-party travel provider account and relationship.
  • Negotiate travel contracts with air, rail, hotel, and ground transportation service requirements.
  • Lead implementation of new processes and procedures as well as changes.
  • Monitor service levels, compliance with policy, and vendor alignment with terms of agreement.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting criteria to monitor HCP travel and general industry trends.
  • Drive the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage internal and external customer satisfaction, addressing disputes and problems.
  • Monitor internal compliance with HCP travel policy.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and activities in event management that intersect with HCP travel management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to contribute to outcomes.
  • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities and implement efficient solutions.
  • Participate in future vendor selection process for HCP travel services.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of experience managing a corporate travel program in the Life Sciences industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written) with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong understanding of business travel industry and corporate travel operations.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc. and travel management technology

Preferred

  • 5 years of experience managing a corporate travel program
  • Experience with managing travel across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Fluent bilingual oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of and experience with Health Care Compliance practices pertaining to interactions with health care professionals (HCPs)
  • Familiarity with Cvent event management technology

Job Description:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:
  • As a HCP Travel Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
  • Developing a best-in-class travel program for health care professional (HCP) consultants and customers.
  • Assesses current travel program and implement changes that align with Global Medical and Clinical Affairs strategic goals and priorities for the Medical Surgical business.
  • Participates in the development and drafting of HCP travel rules (policy) for individual HCP and Group HCP travel in collaboration with Global Travel & Expense, Sourcing, Legal, and Health Care Compliance with a focus on process optimization.
  • Identifying and applying practices globally, with the ability to customize for specific geographical considerations.
  • Supporting management of third-party travel provider account and relationship.
  • Negotiates travel contracts with air, rail, hotel, and ground transportation service requirements.
  • Leads implementation of new processes and procedures as well as changes.
  • Monitors service levels, compliance with policy, and vendor alignment with terms of agreement with Sourcing to drive accountability.
  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting criteria to monitor HCP travel and general industry trends, customer satisfaction, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Driving the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction for the business.
  • Manages internal and external customer satisfaction, addressing disputes and problems to find appropriate solutions.
  • Implements measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Monitors internal compliance with HCP travel policy. Drafts effective internal messages and tools to communicate useful information to key stakeholders.
  • May develop and maintain an internal HCP Travel Management website.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and activities in event management that intersect with HCP travel management.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to contribute to outcomes.
  • Adds value by identifying continuous process improvement opportunities and implementing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Participates in future vendor selection process when going out to bid for HCP travel services (defining HCP travel requirements, preparing the RFP, provider bid comparisons, vendor selection, contract review).
Your Skills and Expertise:
  • Bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start)
  • 3 years of experience managing a corporate travel program in the Life Sciences industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device)
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written) with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong understanding of business travel industry and corporate travel operations.
