Required

  • Current MA, CNA, Athletic Trainer, Rad Tech, LPN or other relevant clinical credential, certification
  • Current license as applicable issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure within 6 months of hire
  • Current BLS certification or achieved within 3 months of hire
  • Knowledge of healthcare field, medical office protocols/procedures
  • Skill in performing clinical assistant tasks appropriately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of electronic medical records

32 hours, 4 days per week

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Current MA, CNA, Athletic Trainer, Rad Tech, LPN or other relevant clinical credential, certification, with relevant work history.

+ Current license as applicable issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure, certification within 6 months of date of hire.

+ Current BLS required or achieved within 3 months of date of hire.

+ Knowledge of and experience in healthcare field, medical office protocols/procedures

+ Skill in performing clinical assistant tasks appropriately.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients,

+ Proficient computer skills with knowledge of electronic medical records.

POSITION SUMMARY

Clinical Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in our Orthopaedic Division focusing in the clinic and on the delivery of quality patient care. Includes assisting physicians with direct patient care and handling the rooming and intake of patients, casting, injections as assigned, and other clinical duties as assigned by the Clinic Supervisor. The Clinical Assistant demonstrates competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care within their scope of practice and according to organizational policies, accrediting and licensing bodies.
