Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an ambitious and proven Field Service Engineer III to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of field service support
  • Customer relationship management
  • Provide detailed reports to the customer
  • Provide complete services on Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) equipment systems, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications
  • Collaborate with the Service Team to deliver technical expertise
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Travel to various customer labs across the region to perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and validation of equipment systems
  • Provide phone, augmented reality, and live support to resolve customer service requests

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum educational requirement: BS and/or graduate degree in Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience operating analytical equipment, such as chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • Experience with method development and analytical chemistry preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel 10-20% overnight domestically
  • Ability to work overtime, outside regular business hours, and/or on-call
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100+ pounds with a lifting team

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of field service support, customer relationship management, and providing detailed reports to the customer.
