The Cath Lab Revenue Coordinator at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is responsible for overseeing Cath Lab billing, charges, and compliance with documentation requirements as well as vendor compliance. Responsibilities

  • Establish policies and implement, along with management, changes.
  • Coordinate with other personnel managers and with physicians.
  • Review departmental procedures, and evaluate the effectiveness of personnel.
  • Ensure that data is available to authorized personnel.
  • Coordinate with other hospital departments and adhere to current coding practices.
  • Reconcile and troubleshoot charges on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the security and accuracy of the patient record pertaining to cardiovascular procedures.
  • Identify and report revenue issues to supervisor.
  • Oversee issues in billing and pre-certification for Cath lab patients.
  • Work with hospital billing to resolve issues with patient accounts from a coding and documentation standpoint.
  • Identify and manage risk with supplies and report issues to supervisor and supply chain as needed.
  • Establish key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals.
  • Develop and implement new systems, best practices, inventory control, demand planning, and other optimizations to grow the business.
  • Work with management and supply chain to maintain and evaluate "bulk" purchases.
  • Coordinate the Grand Rounds/ Live broadcasting of procedures in the Cardiovascular Service line.
  • Work with Supply Chain to trouble shoot and implement new corporate initiatives.
  • Train hospital staff in product dating and create procedures to eliminate loss.
  • Create an efficient space utilization plan.
  • Understand physician needs, service those needs, and maintain and develop positive business relationships with key personnel involved in or directly relevant to informatics for Cardiovascular Service line.
  • Monitoring and Coordination of Data systems (CCW and integration capabilities).
  • Work with GE to develop and streamline patient procedure log during procedures.
  • Develop analytics, systems and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports.

Qualifications

Required

  • RN or ARRT licensure or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience and responsibilities in project management

**Position Summary:**
