**Overview**

M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant at the M Health Fairview Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders located on the West Bank/Riverside Campus. Come be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary specialty care team! Our Clinic takes care of patients with rare or complex bleeding or clotting disorders. The ideal candidate will be one that is organized, able to multitask, communicate effectively, provide excellent customer service, and perform lab draws. They'd be able to work well both independently and part of a team. Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30, no evenings, weekends, or holidays provides excellent work-life balance!

This position is eligible for a $4000 Sign On Bonus!

This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.

**Responsibilities Job Description**

As a member of the patient care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and practice guidelines; promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications**

+ Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN is required.

+ Basic Life Support Certification is required.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Ambulatory Care Experience is preferred.

+ AAMA Certification is preferred.
