Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of category management strategies, including product assortment, pricing, and promotional planning.

  • Work closely with the Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business goals. Provide analytical support for new product launches and promotional events.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of in-store displays, planograms, and product placements. Recommend adjustments based on data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting efforts by analyzing historical sales data and market trends. Assist in setting sales targets and budgeting for merchandising activities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand product performance and customer preferences. Use this information to refine merchandising strategies and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in data collection, reporting, and analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous experience in retail analysis, merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and retail management software. Experience with SQL or similar database management tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple data sets and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and customer behavior.

**Job Summary:** Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for retail? We are looking for a Retail Merchandising Specialist - Analyst to join our client's' dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, customer behavior, and market data to optimize our merchandising strategies.
