The Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Planet Pharma assists Manufacturing Engineers and cross-functional teams in the development of products, processes, equipment, and fixtures as part of the manufacturing process. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for new product builds, including troubleshooting equipment and solving manufacturing engineering problems.
  • Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization (e.g., Cpk/PpK).
  • Collaborate on scrap reduction initiatives and generate ideas for process improvements.
  • Coordinate process changes, including Proof of Concept (POC), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ), and Process Qualification (PQ/PPQ) builds.
  • Execute equipment qualifications (plans, builds, and reports).
  • Perform DOE/process characterization builds on the production line.
  • Support the development of equipment/fixtures, from simple production aids to full automation.
  • Support the procurement of needed components/equipment and ensure proper documentation is followed.
  • Assist in writing new detailed processes and implement changes to existing documentation.
  • Interface with other functions to obtain/deliver materials and information.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to product quality.
  • Train production trainers/operators/manufacturing technicians on existing/new/improved processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in the Medical Device/Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Well-organized, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently on assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; energetic, proactive, flexible, with high integrity and ethics in all dealings.
  • Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and resilient.
  • Proficient with standard office applications, including MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CAD programs, with SolidWorks preferred.
