Responsibilities

  • Processes and edits field data
  • Communicates with field personnel to resolve problems and/or issues with field data
  • May be required to make trips to field to assist in setup of complex survey projects
  • Prepares survey drawings from survey data for use in office using CAD software
  • Assigned basic, routine drafting work with few technical problems
  • Work is spot checked in progress and upon completion
  • Performs mostly non-technical drafting support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to drafting (CAD)
  • Drafts mark-ups
  • Completes detailed maps from sketches, plans, written and verbal instructions using CAD programs
  • Changes and revises maps from mark-ups, redlines, and comments
  • Provides support in translation and explanation of field data based on prior years of field experience

  • Ten-plus years of survey experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk 2 miles

  • Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Provides support in translation and explanation of field data based on prior years of field experience.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or specialized vocational training.
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) OR Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification strongly preferred
  • Ten-plus years of survey experience with office experience is a plus.
  • Civil 3D experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk 2 miles
