  • Demonstrated understanding of Military, Space and Aerospace standards and related processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry supply standards and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, planning, and assigning resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic business-unit plan objectives
  • Demonstrated problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Demonstrated ability in employee development, team building, communication, CI, and PM principles
  • BSEE or higher technical degree.

Are you a dynamic, innovative, and technically proficient Engineering Manager / Director with a passion for groundbreaking projects in Radio Frequency technology? If so, this opportunity is tailor-made for you. As the Director of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in driving the future of aviation, space and military microwave technology. You’ll be reporting into Group President , and you will have around 20 direct reports whilst there’s over 150 on the site and growing. Your contributions will pave the way for the next generation of communication systems within the business.


Job Summary:

This role will directly manage several teams of varied engineering disciplines working on various products and will be responsible for the proper functioning and output of the engineering process. This position may manage teams across multiple locations.


The Director of Engineering will have the following responsibilities:


Lead the RF engineering team in designing, implementing, and optimizing RF systems.

Develop strategic plans for RF technology integration and advancement.

Oversee RF testing and analysis to ensure performance meets objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF components seamlessly.

Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and development.

Stay updated on the latest RF technologies and industry trends.


The successful Director of Engineering will have the following experience:

  • Experience in RF product design and manufacturing.
  • Previous or current experience of managing a team of individuals within RF
  • Demonstrated understanding of Military, Space and Aerospace standards and related processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry supply standards and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, planning, and assigning resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic business-unit plan objectives
  • Demonstrated problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Demonstrated ability in employee development, team building, communication, CI, and PM principles

Compensation: Up to $220k based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits (stock options and a bonus of 15-20%), relocation will provided on a case by case basis if needed.
