Contract Hybrid Role: Remediation Specialist in South Plainfield, NJ
Duration: 2 years contract with possible extension
Pay Range: $35-42/Hr on w2 all inclusive
Location: hybrid role. A minimum of 3 days in the field and a maximum of 2 days working at home. There is no guarantee of 2 WFH days. It could be more time in the field or office as needed. The sites could be anywhere in the client territory from Camden up through Bergen County.
NOTE: Required to have a reliable personal vehicle to get to various work sites
Job Description/Daily Duties: This position will support various Project Managers in the review technical documents such as Remedial Investigation Reports and Remedial Action Work Plans, oversight of soil and groundwater investigation/sampling activities and oversight of large complex remedial construction projects. The Remediation Specialist will conduct technical reviews and research to support environmental remedial activities; track regulatory and contractor activities to ensure compliance with NJDEP regulations and guidance and contract commitments; interpret NJDEP guidance and regulations and make recommendations on applicability to the Remediation Program; track project contract and regulatory commitments; review and approve monthly invoice and consultant/contractor change orders; and complete project meeting minutes for their assigned projects on a timely basis. The Remediation Specialist must be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously within a matrix organization and must be experienced making decisions and recommendations to environmental consultants and contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, in accordance with contract documents and in compliance with NJDEP rules and regulations.
