Responsibilities

  • Report delays or task compromises to the executive staff.
  • Update project plans regularly and report to the executive staff on a weekly basis.
  • Alert and notify customers in the event the product is assigned to them.

  • Visit or audit suppliers and vendors as needed.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned timelines including adherence and compliance to applicable codes, performance standards, and other specifications.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Business
  • 5+ years of related pharmaceutical experience

Overview:

Kiel Laboratories is looking for a Project Manager that manages all aspects of drug development projects from inception to conclusion. Kiel Laboratories is looking for an analytical Project Manager that understands the early clinical drug development process and pharmaceutical terminology.

Essential Duties:

The essential duties for this position are including but not limited to the following:

  • Track all tasks related to assigned products/projects
  • The tracking should be detailed in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Projects / Microsoft 365 or other like software
  • Monitors the progress of program components to ensure overall goals, schedules, budgets, and benefits of the program are achieved.
  • Report delays or task compromises to the executive staff
  • Project plans should be updated regularly and reported to the executive staff on a weekly basis.
  • In the event the product has been assigned to a customer, the aforementioned alerts and notification shall apply to the customer as well.
  • Work jointly with the business development team to prepare and review business proposal quotes
  • Visits or audits of suppliers and vendors may occur from time to time

Other Duties:

Work Environment:

This position operates in both a professional office environment. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment and technology such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, email, and online web-based meeting forums such as Microsoft Teams.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.

While performing the duties associated with this position, the employee will be regularly required to communicate with other staff members and/or outside customers or vendors using both verbal and written communication. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, use his/her hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities are required to ensure safety – these abilities include close/distance/color/peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust ocular focus.

This position requires the ability to on occasion lift office products, up to 20lbs.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours:

This is a full-time exempt position. Work days and hours are as follows: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Although, schedule may provide a level of flexibility based upon departmental needs and with supervisory approval. Some Saturday work may be required.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required; <10%

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with concentration in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Business
  • 5+ years of related pharmaceutical experience
  • Good business judgment and a strong understanding of the unique aspects of the drug development process.
  • Excellent communication skills, (verbal and written) including the ability to understand and present project information effectively.
  • Works with high sense of accountability/urgency
