  • Achieve desired corporate inventory targets.
  • Ensure coordination with Production Supervisors to execute the Production Plan on a daily basis.
  • Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance.
  • Review sales forecast with CSR on a monthly basis and suggest modifications.
  • Timely reporting of key metrics.
  • Support the APS process in meetings once implemented in Rochester.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors to certify Finished Goods inventories as needed.
  • Review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.
  • Update both QAD & APS optimize rules and settings as necessary.
  • Perform purchasing tasks utilizing QAD as required.
  • Assist on the annual physical inventory.

  • Experience using MRP / ERP systems, and Advance Planning Systems
  • Good communication skills

MASTER SCHEDULER


SUMMARY: The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan and daily production schedules to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum inventory. The position is responsible for providing the plant with a monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. The planner is responsible for determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods including safety stock levels and according to standard pack. The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans. Strong collaboration with the Production Supervisors, Operations, Sales, Customer Service and Management will be critical to meeting business goals. The position reports to the Materials Manager.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE

1) To develop a functional & efficient daily Production Plan for all products. Utilize the resource planning function in QAD to determine capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, and new business opportunities. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the production schedule, including manufacturing lead times and stock levels desired.

2) Perform supply demand analysis each month, highlighting areas of concern for the next 3, 6, and 12 months.

3) Make delivery commitments on Finished Goods products, which involve checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity. Communicate lead time conditions (due to schedule loading) to Customer Service for adjustment of orders.

4) Develop inventory targets and manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both the cost and volumes.

5) Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high service levels & product availability.

6) Achieve desired corporate inventory targets.

7) Ensure coordination with Production Supervisors to execute the Production Plan on a daily basis. 8) Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance.

9) Review sales forecast with CSR on a monthly basis and suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand and capacity

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

TRAVEL: As needed, less then 10%. Travel to other MPI plant when necessary.

CONFIDENTIALITY: Is familiar with plant production capabilities and standards, historical sales & forecast.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements Experience using MRP / ERP systems, and Advance Planning Systems EDUCATION REQUIRED: Preferred Areas of Study: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operation Research, Microsoft Office tools.
