  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Qualifications

Required

  • 2 years experience in set-up and running of fabrication equipment preferred
  • 2 years experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred
  • CNC experience preferred
  • Experience with tooling and fixtures preferred
  • Must be a U.S. person or protected individual within the meaning of ITAR
  • Ability to use micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • General computer skills
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be highly motivated, self-starter and work as a team player
  • Must have high levels of attention to detail and quality, be able to multitask and stay organized
  • Must demonstrate the ability to act professionally
  • Must be able to occasionally move about in production areas as needed
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • AA degree or technical school diploma in electromechanical technology or related field preferred

Full Job Description

**2nd shift hours are: Monday - Thursday, 2pm - 12:30am**

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Fabrication Equipment in accordance with company policy and safety procedures. Coordinates job priorities with Team Leader and the Production Supervisor.

### JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set-up and operate fabrication equipment, not limited to Core-Drill, Trim Saws, Grinders and CNC Lathe, in accordance with established procedures.
- Inspects product using proper gauges.
- Monitor workmanship quality to minimize scrap.
- Maintain the equipment area in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures.
- Troubleshoot problems and work with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve.
- Provide and maintain accurate production records.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform equipment maintenance as needed.

### QUALIFICATIONS

**Experience/Background:**

- 2 years experience in set-up and running of fabrication equipment preferred
- 2 years experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred
- CNC experience preferred
- Experience with tooling and fixtures preferred

**Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements:**

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
