For more than 118 years, Backus Hospital has been the primary source of healthcare services for much of Eastern Connecticut. We are home to the only trauma center in New London and Windham counties, and are the only area hospital with LIFE STAR helicopter services. We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high-quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communities.
Job Summary:
Supervises program(s) and/or staff to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective service is delivered by the department(s). Provides direct patient care that is specific to each patient's needs, including those needs that are age specific. Coordinates with various departments on campus to ensure that milieu needs are being met - including but not limited to external clinical programs, environmental services, infection control, pharmacy and security. Also, coordinates and oversees services with collaborative providers such as DMHAS and DCF.
