Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of a school of nursing.
  • BSN or MSN preferred.
  • One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
  • Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area preferred.
  • Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.

Preferred

  • Registered Nurse Core Certification (RNC - NIC or CCRN) preferred.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - NICU
Education: Graduate of a school of nursing. BSN or MSN preferred.

Experience: One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area preferred.

License and Certification

  • Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
