  • Utilize and master our SalesForce Platform.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a school program, preferably to obtain a degree in Sales, Marketing, or Insurance.
  • Preferred Sophomore or Junior Candidate.
  • Able to work full time over the summer months (June-August).
  • Internship begins in June 2025.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Strong technical ability, along with problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Capable of learning and remaining knowledgeable of all products in the company's portfolio.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility in responding to industry changes quickly and effectively.

Ameritas is looking for a Sales Intern to learn various aspects involved in becoming a sales rep with Ameritas. The Sales Internship will join our 9 week internship program where they will get direct exposure to our RVP’s, Manager, and Sales Reps to learn more about the industry and career. The intern will get an inside look into our group insurance division and how we bring on new customers as well as develop existing relationships. This internship will help give you exposure to the career and allow you to make continued connections. This position will be located in our Chicago, IL office.

What you do:

  • Learn about the Sales process at Ameritas. Develop your skills with our training team as they set you up for success in your internship.
  • Explore all areas that help make the sales process succeed: underwriting, National Accounts, Provider Networks, Sales Support and community outreach.
  • Sales Rep ride a longs: Get the chance to see what a Sales Rep does on a day-to-day basis. You are able to see how meetings are run and assist in the process of expanding our group business.
  • Attend broker meetings which can consist of a variety of drop ins, check in meetings, and Request for Proposal (RFP) discussions.
  • Learn about the group dental, vision, and hearing business. Learn how to create competitive plan designs to suit every group's unique needs.
  • Utilize and master our SalesForce Platform.

What you bring:
