RQ construction is quickly becoming one of the leading players in the commercial & government industry on the East Coast. We are currently seeking General Laborer candidates to join our team in the Kings Bay, GA area.

As a General Laborer in the Jacksonville, FL area on sites such as Kings Bay Naval Base and Naval Station Mayport, you will be responsible for performing tasks that involve physical labor using hand and power tools of all types, with prior carpentry skills preferred. As a General Laborer, you may also assist other craft workers in their duties, while also cleaning and preparing sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing other non-hazardous waste materials. In addition, this position may operate one or several types of power construction equipment. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ Construction believes in the growth and development of our employees, so on the job training and certifications are provided per the projects needs for safety, equipment operations, etc. Prevailing wages will be paid for work performed on a military installation.

Pay: $18.00-25.00 per hour

Qualifications are as follows:

  • A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
  • Two or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in commercial construction required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred; Specific training or certificates in the following preferred:
    • Forklift/Manlift training and certificate
    • Fall protection training
    • Scissor lift/boom lift certificate
    • OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour
    • Trenching & Shoring training
    • Confined Space Training
    • Lockout/Tagout training
