The Project Superintendent at West77 Partners is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction including safety, schedule, quality control, subcontractor activities, and coordination with the City. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily onsite operations of assigned construction project(s) and lead weekly safety and subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Lead preconstruction meetings with every subcontractor to ensure their complete understanding of our expectations as it relates to communication, safety, and quality
  • Work collaboratively with subcontractors, designers and the Wasatch DC Builders NW team to explore options and present solutions when conflicts or problems occur
  • Implement a comprehensive safety program ensuring a safe working environment that is compliant with applicable standards while creating a safety culture that results in zero workplace accidents or incidents
  • Implement a quality control program ensuring work put in place is completed in a professional and high-quality manner eliminating re-work and minimizing any punch list items
  • Create and manage the project schedule in MS Project to track project progress and provide look-ahead schedules for subcontractor coordination and timely material procurement
  • Monitor subcontractor progress to address any potential change issues proactively with thoughtful solutions which mitigate cost impacts to the project
  • Support the Project Manager to build a project that meets all design and jurisdictional criteria
  • Lead scheduling and coordination for all required inspections with specialty and City inspectors including coordination with utility companies
  • Work collaboratively with surrounding residents and businesses to minimize impact and address any construction-related concerns should they arise
  • Support the Project Manager to ensure adherence to contracted scopes
  • Manage an efficient project closeout process that resolves issues immediately to facilitate a smooth transition into hotel operations

Qualifications

Required

  • Passion for safety and quality evidenced by ability to manage a clean and organized jobsite
  • Problem solver with the ability to look ahead to see issues before they are presented
  • Excellent construction administration and communication skills
  • Experience managing direct labor and subcontractors to create accountability and drive results
  • Expertise in reading and understanding construction documents
  • Experience preparing and managing construction schedules
  • Developed understanding and ability to manage a construction budget
  • Excellent written skills to compose general correspondence and reports
  • Working knowledge of space layout and design, and construction drawings
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and logistical skills
  • Self-starter who can see the big picture with an ability to manage multiple self-imposed deadlines
  • Independent leader who will be Wasatch DC Builder NW’s primary onsite representative throughout construction
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through and a proven ability to research and solve problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
  • Experience with wood-frame construction and multifamily or hotel projects

Preferred

  • OSHA 30 and SWPPPS certification
  • Experience with Procore

Position: Project Superintendent


Initial Project Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Opportunity Summary: The Project Superintendent is our onsite leader responsible to oversee all aspects of construction including safety, schedule, quality control, subcontractor activities, and coordination with the City. You will work collaboratively with our Project Manager to support strong budget management, subcontractor and supplier coordination, and maintaining high-quality standards. We are looking for a driven, collaborative and hard-working professional who is experienced supervising all aspects of construction and is excited to be a part of a vertically integrated company as we grow our national hotel portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific job tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

· Oversee daily onsite operations of assigned construction project(s) and lead weekly safety and subcontractor coordination meetings
