Job Description

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

1st shift & 2nd shift available

Responsibility And Duties

• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sound to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repair or replace defective parts and lubricate and clean parts as needed in accordance with food/beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices and start devices to test their performance.
• Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills and share expertise with others.
• Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and include appropriate people in decision-making process.
• Work with Maintenance Manager to prioritize and plan work activities and complete work in timely manner
• Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
• Work within approved budget and conserve organizational resources.
• Follow policies and procedures and observe safety and security procedures.
• Use equipment and materials properly and report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Maintain inventory records and perform cycle count as necessary.

Mechanic must have own basic set of tools, to include, but not be limited to the following items: Wrenches & sockets, adjustable wrenches, pliers, nut drivers, screwdrivers and hammer.

Education And/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
