The Project Engineer at Custom Instrumentation Services Corporation (CiSCO) is responsible for designing and engineering systems to ensure the timely completion of project deliverables that meet or exceed customer specifications. This role involves managing all technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects, including reading and understanding project plans, specifications, contracts, and purchase orders, as well as preparing for and participating in project meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various disciplines, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all technical and engineering aspects and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Read and understand project plans, specifications, contracts and purchase orders.
  • Review, approve and release accurate drawings, to the customer for approval and to the shop for production.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Manufacturing for production and monitor for accuracy and progress.
  • Prepare for, attend and participate in required internal and external project meetings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager, other departments and customers.
  • Recognize and provide the estimated labor, materials and schedule impact when a change order is needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Undergraduate degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Background in manufacturing

Full Job Description

The ideal candidate will design and engineer systems for the timely completion of project deliverables that meet or exceed customer specifications. To be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all technical and engineering aspects and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Read and understand project plans, specifications, contracts and purchase orders.
  • Review, approve and release accurate drawings, to the customer for approval and to the shop for production.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Manufacturing for production and monitor for accuracy and progress.
  • Prepare for, attend and participate in required internal and external project meetings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager, other departments and customers.
  • Recognize and provide the estimated labor, materials and schedule impact when a change order is needed.


Competency

  • Knowledge and understanding of several disciplines, including, but not limited to: electrical codes, pneumatics, building codes, structural loads, programmable logic controllers, data communication and network methodologies and technologies, and federal, state and local environmental regulations.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD 2D, 3D, Inventor and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Pursue training and development opportunities and continuously strive to build knowledge and skills.

  • The pay range for this position is $74,000 - $90,000 per year (actual salary offered may be lower or higher due to factors such as knowledge, experience, skillset, etc.)
