Steel Point Solutions is seeking an innovative Information Systems Consultant to develop a Center of Excellence (COE) for enterprise digital automation and transformation initiatives and solutions. The role involves helping to develop a concept of operations, COE implementation roadmap, processes, and procedures for prioritizing automations, communication and change management plans, quality management plans, performance KPIs, and COE dashboards. This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of an Enterprise COE for automation and transformation initiatives.
  • In coordination with the Client and COE Lead develop a concept of operations for the COE
  • Support the development of a central location for knowledge sharing, solutions to common problems, code library, program artifacts, and metric collection.
  • Develop processes and procedures for new capabilities to be reviewed and installed for use as soon as they become available.
  • Develop configuration management and change management processes and procedures for available automations and ensure communication of changes throughout the enterprise.
  • Develop Test and Quality Assurance processes for user acceptance testing, quality assurance, and automation library maintenance.
  • Working with the team members and the customer, establish and automation library that consist of source code, description of automation, and implementation / user instructions.
  • Working with automation developers, support the development of Break/Fix SOP.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in system design and or software development lifecycle (SDLC), with at least 5 years of experience in configuration management and change management.
  • Proven experience in engineering, implementing source code repositories, and CI/CD operations.
  • Understanding of Digital Transformation concepts such as RPA, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, and Systems Integration, and how to apply Digital Transformation solutions for an enterprise.
  • Experience working in an iterative or Agile context.
  • In depth understanding of coding languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
