The role involves receiving, stocking, and packing incoming and outgoing material, conducting inventory, and ensuring outstanding teamwork and customer service. Responsibilities

  • Follow proper procedures to pull items using labels and picking documents.
  • Proper picking to bins and labeling to move items from stock location to packing, verifying accurate part numbers.
  • Work as team in picking zones, exercising proper accordion picking process.
  • Use correct procedure when receiving items and applying identified stocking locations
  • Break down incoming vendor or transfer shipments on pallets (skids) to check for damages, count items and verify that the correct quantity is received.
  • Stage material after receiving: Properly identified for direct put away. Accurately process verified inventory batches in computer system.
  • Transfer items from staged receiving pallets (skids) to correct storage shelves (home slots) or overstock locations directly above home slot or designated overflow area.
  • Verify the item label, put away by identified receiving location, verifying part numbers.
  • Understand procedures for stocking new items.
  • Verify picked orders from printed packing slips.
  • Ship order to the correct dealer. Make sure boxes are packaged for safe shipment.
  • Maintain a minimum of 140 lines per hour packing after training.
  • Conduct inventory as directed using proper procedures.
  • Safely uses all equipment including but not limited to power industrial trucks, pallet jacks, carts, conveyors, doors, gates, etc.
  • May also perform duties in the following specialized areas: Returns processing, shipping dock, Hi Lift replenishment.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • It may require powered industrial truck certification.
  • Ability to use and understand internal database and inventory software and use and understand internal order processing systems.
