The Senior Architectural Project Manager at Magnify will be responsible for the design, delivery, and coordination of multiple projects simultaneously through all phases to successful completion. Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage budgets, consultants, schedules, fees, and costs. Prepare proposals and contracts accordingly.

  • Coordinate both administrative and technical efforts to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
  • Ensure complete and timely communication of project information between clients and the project team.
  • Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring the successful completion of proposals, contracts, schedules, budgets, and project scopes.
  • Resolve complex issues related to building codes, architectural design, and construction.
  • Understand structural and site/civil engineering trades and their impact on architectural design.
  • Determine construction detailing requirements, ensuring constructability, code compliance, affordability, and aesthetics.
  • Guide consulting teams during early design stages.
  • Schedule quality control reviews and oversee all project documentation.
  • Collaborate with Principals/leadership to pursue new projects and expand the scope of existing ones.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • Registered Architect in Arizona
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural project management with a focus on production architecture
  • Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in architecture
  • Active board licensure

Title: Architectural Project Senior Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ (HYBRID)

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 (Based off experience/credentials)

Duration: Full time, Direct Hire


What We Really Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, master’s degree in architecture preferred.
  • Registered Architect in Arizona, with eligibility for licensure in other states and jurisdictions.
  • Ability to use software to articulate design., i.e., Revit and Bluebeam.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural project management with a focus on production architecture, examples include: commercial and affordable multifamily housing.


Job Summary:

The Senior Architectural Project Manager will be responsible for the design, delivery, and coordination of multiple projects simultaneously through all phases of the projects through to successful completion. Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.


Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Timeline, Budget, and Staffing
  • Identify and manage budgets, consultants, schedules, fees, and costs. Prepare proposals and contracts accordingly.


Team Mentorship

  • Mentor and coach team members by teaching specific skills, explaining decision-making processes, and assisting with task prioritization to maintain team morale.
  • Recognize staff’s strengths and areas for improvement, supporting their growth and motivating them to reach their full potential.
  • Encourage progress towards licensure, including monitoring and supporting AXP hours (if licensed).
  • Foster individual skill development and hold team members accountable for their work and deadlines.
  • Use scheduling to enhance each employee's skill set, creating a well-rounded team.
  • Maintain honest and professional communication, regularly providing constructive feedback.


Team Management

  • Coordinate both administrative and technical efforts to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
  • Ensure complete and timely communication of project information between clients and the project team.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication through team meetings and minutes, utilizing company-provided tools and templates.


Client Communication

  • Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring the successful completion of proposals, contracts, schedules, budgets, and project scopes.
  • Regularly update clients on project progress and notify them of any changes.
  • Maintain contact with key project individuals to clarify, coordinate, and negotiate critical issues.


Technical and Design

  • Resolve complex issues related to building codes, architectural design, and construction, informing the client of any deviations impacting budget or timeline.
  • Understand structural and site/civil engineering trades and their impact on architectural design.
  • Determine construction detailing requirements, ensuring constructability, code compliance, affordability, and aesthetics.
  • Demonstrate expertise in modern architectural and construction methods, with the ability to fully detail these systems.
  • Guide consulting teams during early design stages, particularly in the selection and coordination of structural and MEP systems.
  • Schedule quality control reviews and oversee all project documentation.
  • Collaborate with Principals/leadership to pursue new projects and expand the scope of existing ones.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong mentorship skills, capable of developing staff skill sets.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organization, communication, management, and project oversight abilities.
  • Strong client-facing skills, including concept presentations, ongoing dialogue, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for client/contractor meetings and site visits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
  • Active board licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Ensure effective communication across teams by coordinating with clients, governing authorities, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines.
  • Collaborate with the Principal in charge to manage workloads, align with project requirements, and optimize staff utilization.
  • Prioritize projects and manage staff resources to achieve project milestones and maintain profitability.
  • Ensure regular billing for projects.
