Autodesk is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Event Operations to join our Brand Events & Experiences team. This role is responsible for all aspects of organizing, managing, and overseeing event operations for our go-to-market kick-off event, driving employee and partner engagement, and contributing to business impact. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of enterprise event operations experience, a track record of success leading operations for large-scale technology events, and the ability to manage operations within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all operational aspects of Autodesk’s go-to-market kick-off program, including venue, space and vendor management, registration, housing, transportation, food & beverage logistics, as well as off-expo production and ancillary activities
  • Manage event timelines, resources, Autodesk & vendor deliverables, while maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring flawless execution
  • Develop and manage the event budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness, including regular budget updates and reconciliation
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution, exceptional event experiences and promote an environment of inclusivity and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with multiple internal sales, customer success, and marketing stakeholders to bring the program vision to life, often finding compromises and providing recommendations, while ensuring operational efficiencies and best practices
  • Oversee all on-site event activities, troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring the event runs smoothly, in addition to ensuring compliance with security, health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality, communications, business, or a related field along with relevant event & meeting planning certifications
  • 8-10+ years of event operations experience in positions of increasing responsibility, including operational responsibility for planning and executing mid-to-large-scale events (5,000+), preferably internal conferences
  • Logistical mastermind with 8+ years managing 8-figure budgets
  • Experience working in both digital and in-person event environments, with in-depth knowledge of managing internal and external production teams
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Creative mindset with a strong focus on customer experience and engagement
  • Knowledge of wide range of event technologies, registration systems, mobile apps, gamification, and event analytics

Preferred

  • Experience managing large-scale sales kick-off programs for a technology company

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $114,700 and $185,570. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
