The Electro-Mechanical Technician at Green Bay Packaging - De Pere Shipping Container is responsible for working safely and ensuring a safe working environment through various maintenance tasks. This includes reading blueprints, installing and maintaining machinery, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Works safely and follows all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, electrical schematic and hydraulic drawings to determine work requirements
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Adjust machinery and troubleshoot defective parts
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and forklifts, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance/preventative work on machinery
  • Other job tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge in AC/DC wiring methods
  • Knowledge in AC/DC drives/motors/ VFD's & servo motors
  • Knowledge in PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
  • Knowledge in HMI
  • Knowledge in mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
  • Knowledge in pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Experience in preventive & predictive maintenance on production machinery

Preferred

  • Design and fabricating experience
  • Mill and Lathe experience
  • Fanuc/Robot experience
  • Experience using a CMMS system
  • Conveyor systems experience

Qualifications:

All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have or be working towards a minimum of a 2-year associate degree.
