Rockwood Company is seeking a Consultant to support various initiatives requiring change management methods and applications. The role involves assessing the impact of changes on business processes, developing clear transformation strategies, and providing project management support. Responsibilities

  • Support client project tasks from initiation to completion, including tracking timelines, capturing status updates, leading knowledge capture, facilitating and contributing to client and team discussions, and creating frameworks that support desirable solutions.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data through research, interviews, surveys, and observation.
  • Develop standard operating processes and procedures and assist with the development of workflows to capture the current state of the client mission and recommend best practice alternatives for a future state.
  • Identify and document key insights from client interactions and data collection to propose changes for organizational improvement.
  • Facilitate client discussions, lead stakeholder interviews and brief client deliverables.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients while helping them dissect and solve problems.
  • Lead and support stakeholder interviews and other stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Provide project management support, including managing resource-planning spreadsheets, working with senior-level consultants to refine project plans, performing quality control reviews on client deliverables, and drafting and submitting status reports to clients.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Top Secret clearance, TS/SCI preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of experience with federal consulting with exposure to organizational management, strategic planning and execution, communications, change management, and facilitation
  • Willingness to commute to client locations as needed, in and around the DC Metro area; occasional travel outside of the DC area
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize findings for large quantities of data and provide recommendations
  • Intellectual curiosity with the ability to identify thought provoking questions to better understand a process at hand
  • Experience developing standard operating procedures and process workflows
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and work diplomatically with others in various roles and levels
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks, prioritize as necessary, and deliver high-quality products, sometimes under tight deadlines
  • Ability to execute administrative tasks, including tracking and organizing actions and facilitating meetings to support program productivity and effectiveness
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to organize information into well-written clear messages and compelling documents
  • Ability to develop presentations and work products in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to collaboratively brainstorm and work with clients and Rockwood team while also having the ability to work independently from a home office, client site, and Rockwood office as required

  • Strategy, Change Management, Process Improvement, Communications, or performance Management Certification

About the Position:

As a Sr. Analyst, you'll use your expertise to gather and analyze information, recommend solutions for improvements, facilitate forward progress, and communicate and engage various stakeholders to increase buy-in.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data (through research, interviews, surveys, observation, etc.)
  • Theme data and insights from client interactions and data collection to propose changes for organizational improvement
  • Support development of assessments, policies, procedures, and other documents in well-written, professional, and client required format and structure
  • Facilitate client discussions, communicate with stakeholders, participate in stakeholder interviews, and prepare deliverables for clients
  • Develop standard operating processes and procedures and assist with the development of workflows
  • Support SES-level clients and project team with programmatic tasks such as helping to track timelines, capturing status updates, leading knowledge capture, and helping create templates to support scaling a change effort
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) (other federal agency clearances considered) Secret (or above) clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4(+) years experience in work related to management consulting, organizational development, strategic planning and implementation, communications, change management, and/or facilitation
  • Ability to work on client site as needed several days per week in the DC Metropolitan area
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in change management, Lean-Six Sigma, PMI, or other management consulting related discipline
  • Experience with leading and facilitating groups
  • DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
