Responsibilities

  • Following health and safety regulations, including proper procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Drives PIVs to retrieve/transport materials from warehouse locations to other plant locations, or to pick up items from several locations within plant for shipment.
  • Using written requests to locate items, and then pulling them from various warehouse locations.
  • Grouping items together and consolidating the material during picking.
  • Checking the quality of the products, and reporting any damaged or missing items.
  • Completing the required documentation for closing and validating the order.
  • Communicating with order packers to ensure they have all necessary items for delivery.
  • Delivers expectations and sets targets to be achieved on a daily basis
  • Communicates with supervisor and/or lead regarding day-to-day functions in the warehouse
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous PIV experience
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to stand through entire shift
  • Ability to regularly bend, walk, stoop, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs

Full Job Description

Warehouse Worker
Manassas, VA
12+ Months with a high possibility of extension

Description:

Monday through Friday 2PM to 10PM.
First two to three weeks for training will be Monday thru Friday 7AM to 3PM.


Working Conditions:
Works in warehouse and cold room storage areas; fast paced and time sensitive environment.
Regularly required to stand through entire shift
Bending, walking, stooping, standing, climbing and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs
required.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required

Experience:
Previous PIV experience is required
Position will be 90% PIV
Will need to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire.

The purpose of this position is:
