Responsibilities

• Night shifts from 7pm to 7am, totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• May float in between PCU units or to med-surg floors
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights
• Unit staffing: 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633
• Type of equipment: bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs in conjunction with wound care
• Patient experience requirements: hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor

Qualifications

Required

• TN RN License
• 2 years experience
• Critical thinking skills
• EKG rhythm interpretation
• Experience with cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip
• Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems
• Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care
• Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Preferred

• Peritoneal dialysis experience
• Peripheral iv skills
