Responsibilities

  • Safely maintain all equipment utilizing the planned preventative maintenance program
  • Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems
  • Prioritize the scheduled maintenance work around the daily production schedules
  • Create an atmosphere and culture that drives toward an accident free workplace
  • Utilize both excellent mechanical skills and electrical/electronic skills
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, such as servicing of conveyors, presses, stackers, etc.
  • Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams/schematics, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components, electrical controls, AC/DC motors, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission
  • Perform fabrication on equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs
  • Make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity
  • Identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble
  • Dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts
  • Examine and determine to what degree parts have worn and repair or replace parts as needed
  • Operate metal, woodworking, and hand tools to make, and repair, parts
  • Complete all work in a safe manner

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
  • Technical skills in all disciplines of industrial maintenance
  • Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment
  • Good working knowledge of various meters (volt/amp meters, schematics, dial calipers, heat sensing guns, etc.)
  • Outstanding analytical and decision-making skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willing to work off shifts

Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Wage: $29.20-$34.91/hour + $0.25/hour shift differential

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 11pm-7am (5 days a week 8-hour schedule, usually OT on Saturdays)

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
