Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Server Assistant for the Omni Interlocken Resort. This role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds guest and member expectations, supporting guests and associates throughout the food and beverage organization. Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Deliver Restaurant In-Room orders to guest rooms.
  • Deliver Select Guest morning deliveries or afternoon amenity deliveries.
  • Communicate with culinary and food and beverage outlet teams regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests.
  • Alert manager immediately if a member or guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
  • Present accurate check to guest and process payment for Restaurant In-Room duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Assist in seating members and guests and answering phones for restaurants.
  • Bussing, running food and clearing tables to assist servers and guests.
  • Station set-up
  • Stock needed supplies in side stands.
  • Clean-up of coffee machines and prepared coffee.
  • Set-up tea station.
  • Get ice supply.
  • Dust all tables to include table legs.
  • Receive rolls and put in warmers.
  • Put milk in refrigerators and set-up creamers.
  • Pre-set breadbaskets lined with napkins.
  • Pick-up linen.
  • Check off and pick-up storeroom supplies.
  • Set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver and glassware.
  • Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications.
  • Assist servers during meal period.
  • Remove any extra settings.
  • Pour water for guests.
  • Cross train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of the resort property.
  • Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous experience in a high volume guest facing position.
  • Previous experience in restaurant service preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, Carry, and Place up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand/walk throughout the duration of the shift for up to 8 hours.
  • Excellent communication & guest service skills.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • TIPs alcohol and Food Handlers certification required prior to first shift.
  • Available to work a flexible shift, including weekends and holidays.

The Server Assistant role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations and works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs. This position provides support to guests and associates serving guests throughout the food and beverage organization. Includes assisting servers, running food and delivering Restaurant in Room orders and guest amenities. Full and part time positions available.AM and PM shifts available.

Salary for this position:$16.00/hour plus gratuities where applicable.
