As a Network Engineer at Nuro, you will be responsible for supporting all of Nuro’s IT/engineering system, networks, and robot operations systems and IT infrastructure. This includes corporate IT resource monitoring, deployment, and incident management, designing IT workflows and automating them with scripting/programming, and administering engineering-related systems for product development. You will also provide support for an engineering development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, manage, and maintain desktops and servers on local and data center
  • Respond to requests to address networking issues
  • Administer network devices, manage VLANs, troubleshoot network issues, maintain VPN and WiFi networks
  • Adhere to and define security policies including asset tracking, system policy, and access control with directory system
  • Assist team members as needed in areas outside of networking
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience with networking infrastructure support and management
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and technologies such as TerraForm
  • Experience with working with third-party bandwidth providers in complex systems
  • Familiarity with SSL, SSH, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, general knowledge of encryption
  • Proficient in general networking principles; routing TCP/IP, DNS, VPN
  • Proficient in designing and executing new VLAN Trunking, Wifi security systems, BGP, and other advanced networking projects
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux, computer architecture, and/or cyber security
  • Hands-on experience with managing local and/or cloud clusters/servers preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Experience and/or knowledge within VMWare VSphere and ESX preferred
  • Directory Service implementation / administration experience preferred

Preferred

  • Ability to write system administration automation scripts in shell, Python, or PERL
  • Knowledge of Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, Google WorkspaceApps

For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $138,000 and $207,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
