The first commercial application of the Nuro Driver is autonomous goods delivery with our custom, electric, zero-occupant vehicles in partnership with some of the most recognized brands in the world including Uber and FedEx.About the RoleAs an experienced Systems Engineer you will be responsible for supporting all of Nuro’s IT/engineering system, networks, and fast growing robot operations systems and IT infrastructure. You will also provide support for an engineering development environment by administering engineering-related systems for product development.About the WorkYour daily responsibilities will include corporate IT resource monitoring, deployment, and incident management. You will also design Nuro’s IT workflows and automate them with scripting / programming.Installing, configuring, managing and maintaining desktops and servers on local and data centerRespond to requests to address networking issuesAdministering network devices, manage VLANs, troubleshooting network issue maintaining VPN and WiFi networksAdhere to and define security policies including areas such as asset tracking, system policy, and access control with directory systemAssist team members as needed in areas outside of networking, including but not limited to VSan, VDI, Creating and monitoring metrics for corporate systemsRecord events and problems and their resolution in ticketsAbout YouExperience with networking infrastructure support and management / setting-up and/or maintaining enterprise computer networksExperience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and technologies such as TerraFormExperience with working with third-party bandwidth providers in complex systems, including data center and satellite locations with interconnects to a cloud provider.Familiarity with SSL, SSH, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, general knowledge of encryptionProficient in general networking principles; routing TCP/IP, DNS, VPN Proficient in designing and executing new VLAN Trunking, Wifi security systems, BGP, and other advanced networking projects5+ years of experience network engineeringIn-depth knowledge of Linux, computer architecture, and/or cyber securityHands-on experience with managing local and/or cloud clusters/servers preferredHands-on experience with Experience and/or knowledge within VMWare VSphere and ESX preferredDirectory Service implementation / administration experience preferredAbility to write system administration automation scripts in shell, Python, or PERLKnowledge of Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, Google WorkspaceAppsAt Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $138,000 and $207,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
